Mise en Scene

If mise en scene is not completely clear watch the following youtube clip (36 mins long). 

Remember: Your September assessment will be a clip that you need to analyse using mise en scene. You may bring 1 page of notes e.g. the five key elements, or key words. As well as including all the elements of mise en scene in your assessment you will also be expected to analyse the effect on the audience. Again the audience can be the preferred audience - the audience that the director expects to watch their programme or film and the alternative audience which reads each media text from a different point of view. 

In preparation - Keep watching 5 minute segments of TV programmes or films and explain how all the elements of mise en scene create meaning.
